The term Rapid Control Prototyping is frequently used to describe the development of code within the production controller but with add2 products such as MICROGen it is possible to be experimenting with new ideas and proving out radical new control methodologies much earlier in the V-Cycle.

MICROGen offers a highly flexible platform for prototyping, both on the bench and in-vehicle, in a compact but powerful package. Using software from the MathWorks, along with our own blockset you can configure I/O and signal conditioning in seconds, while communications utilising LIN, CAN, K-Bus, J1850 are quickly implemented. Once complete, your algorithm model is quickly compiled and downloaded.

Your model can be easily

debugged, parameters tuned and signals shown using our VISUALCONNX graphical interface. All this allows your ideas to be developed and tested long before your final production electronic control hardware is available. More than this, by using CarSim or TruckSim in a Genix Target Real-Time HIL system, you can feed real world signals from a virtual vehicle to your prototype ECU and test much of your functionality before moving to on road testing.

Application Areas:

·         Real-Time Simulators

·         Fault Insertion

·         Test Equipment

·         Graphical Interfaces

·         HILST

·         Rapid Control Prototyping
